Onewhero-Te Akau Ward
Electing 1 Councillor

EYRE, Carolyn

My principal place of residence is in the Onewhero-Te Akau Ward area.

My name is Carolyn Eyre and I am standing in the Onewhero-Te Akau electorate. I would be privileged to represent this region where I have resided for 24 years. I hold undergraduate qualifications in Education and Psychology, in addition to successful completion of law papers at Waikato University. Currently pursuing postgraduate qualifications in dispute resolution, and a member of the Arbitrators and Mediators Institute of New Zealand. I have 6 years experience on various school boards – 3 years as Chairperson. These positions have provided me with a good insight into governance and planning at a strategic level.

Married to Stuart, we have three teenage children and farm the fourth generation family farm in the Pepepe Valley. Passionate about politics, particularly at a local body level, I am campaigning on increased transparency and accountability. I believe the Onewhero-Te Akau ward is unique and deserves to have effective representation within the WDC.

MAIN, Bronwyn

My principal place of residence is in the Onewhero-Te Akau Ward area.

I am seeking re-election to continue “unfinished business” representing small communities, and rural residents and ratepayers in my large and diverse ward.

I want to ensure we are heard, we are represented and that we get a fair allocation of projects, resources and funding, especially with respect to roading.

I am very passionate about the Onewhero Te Akau ward and all the people that I represent.

My aim is to keep you connected with the Council and what is really going on.

I am proud to live in my ward and I am eager to continue to represent you.

I will remain accessible and approachable and open to presenting your issues.
