To continue to do this I ask for your vote.

KIRKWOOD, Rongo

My principal place of residence is in the Ngaruawahia Ward area. I am also standing for Ngaruawahia Community Board.

Rongo Kirkwood was humbled to be raised within the sanctuary of Tuurangawaewae marae and Ngaaruawaahia. Knowing her cultural identity and being connected to her marae has been invaluable throughout her life.

With a background in governance, education, social and health services, and her current role in community funding and development, she believes it is vital for the residents of the Ngaaruawaahia ward to have a collective and unified stance in response to district-wide decisions, which have a direct impact on our lives.

Rongo stands for: community-led initiatives that are innovative, aspirational and intergenerational; projects that regenerate and champion our environment; youth-led initiatives that are supported from conception to completion; locally-led small business enterprises that preserve heritage places and cultural heritage throughout our ward.

With your support, she will ensure that together we can make a difference.

PATTERSON, Eugene

My principal place of residence is in the Ngaruawahia Ward area.

Having lived in Ngaruawahia all my life, I am very passionate about our community.

Being privileged to having represented you as your Councillor for the past three years, I believe I have further developed the skills to continue my work with helping make a positive and vibrant community that we all want to live in.

After spending 13 years in retail business here in Ngaruawahia and my involvement with local sports clubs and organisations, I have learnt to listen and understand the needs of our community.

With your support I will continue to work hard in Council, to help improve our wellbeing, and for all to feel safe and secure in our surroundings. A place for the young and elderly to be proud to live in.

I will always work hard to make sure our community interests are looked after and your concerns are addressed.

Thank you
