Awaroa ki Tuakau Ward
Electing 2 Councillors

CHURCH, Jacqui

My principal place of residence is not in the Awaroa ki Tuakau Ward area.

Seeking your continued support as Councillor. I guarantee informed, proactive representation, coupled with substantial experience, to address the complex issues facing our communities. I offer integrity and proven strategic community action, working tirelessly to achieve positive outcomes. A common-sense approach to governance, growth, and sustainability is underpinned by my business ownership, rural background and commerce degree. I stand for realistic, prudent rates with fair and transparent financial management. Our rates situation is unsustainable, requiring greater focus on responsible and timely infrastructure expenditure. My listening, communicating and collaborative leadership style underpins results-based rural and town achievements. Known to stand up to advocate your needs within community and business, I’m committed to strengthening your voice in decision-making. Issues I’m focused on include: future-proofed roads, rail and infrastructure; upgraded community reserves and facilities; robust growth and economic development offering employment, backed by sustainable environmental protection. Let’s grow our future together.

HENDERSON, Stephanie

My principal place of residence is not in the Awaroa ki Tuakau Ward area.

I am Stephanie Henderson, farming in Rural Tuakau with my husband. My background is in accounting specialising in small businesses. I have served on numerous Boards and bring a clear understanding of both business practices and governance to the councillor role. I am at present a trustee on the Waikato District Crime Prevention Technology Trust and first term councillor in the Awaroa ki tuakau ward. As a councillor I endeavour to be only a phone call away from people I represent, I am an excellent listener and mediator, working with both council and community to achieve mutually benefical outcomes. I am privileged in working alongside Rural and Urban Grassroots committees, planning for future growth in the Urban areas, whilst providing services for current residents. Being a Public Transport advocate, it is rewarding that Pokeno and Tuakau are to receive buses, commencing October, linking them with commuter rail in Pukekohe.

My principal place of residence is in the Awaroa ki Tuakau Ward area. I am also standing for Onewhero-Tuakau Community Board.

Do you feel our community is lacking common sense and initiative, do you think its time to change. Let me be the voice for you. I’m Kandi Ngataki and I bring a synergy and a strong voice I believe our community needs. I have lived in the community for over 40 years. I’m a mother of 4 children and survived. I currently work in the education sector. I’m a proactive member throughout the local wider community. I sit on various boards and trusts. Having over 20 years experience at a governance level, clearly understanding the role of becoming an effective councillor, passionate about listening to people and representing their views. Support sustainability, local solutions, youth, elderly, recreational areas and facilities. As a candidate I will serve to make positive changes, contributions for our community to grow and prosper for all to enjoy and for future generations.
